Our customer, the leader in industry automation needs to localize a module in China so that they can reduce cost & time as the final integration is in China.

The project was initially awarded to our competitor for various reasons. However, months passes without concrete progress. Our customer became impatient as it is very behind schedule.

They came to us and ask if we can help.

It took ACESTARR just a few days to plan and evaluate the project. The project kicked off with the blessing of our customer and with the engineering folks.

The First Article was submitted in merely 1month. A period that can be shorten if we have the extrusion tooling in place. The project's main highlights were development of the aluminum extrusion die, oversea sourced commercial parts and lastly machining of precision machined parts for final assembly.

Fortunately, our project team is always at the ready. The project team got together in short orders, meeting every day to get the project started right and keep our customer informed.

The extrusion sample got in, inspected and was approved. This approval gives the extrusion supplier permission to produce the rest of the orders. The extrusions arrived on time and the normal manufacturing process took over. This project realized all the efficiencies of our CNC Vertical Machining Centers designed for quick response and repeatable throughput on precision parts. In fact, we streamlined production of this particular part by condensing what had once been 6 operations into 2. We added in our precision rotary table to machine the part in just 2 setups and ensuring accuracy in the process.

Our customer is very pleased at our response. This much-awaited project is finally localized in a time that seems short to us but long to them if not for the wrong start.
